Space Jam came out in 1996, when I was 11.
Before that I was always a doodler. My Mum’s office wall was covered in cartoons and bubble writing and drawings of who knows what. But after seeing Space Jam – and Michael Jordan – what I really liked to draw was the Chicago Bulls logo.
I loved that logo. I drew it on every markable surface as often as I could until I could do it from memory. Little did I know that sketching that iconic red bull was igniting a lifelong appreciation for logos and branding. Some time later I found out about something called "graphic design" and the rest is history
I’m Luke Skinner, a Creative Director, designer and occasional illustrator. Over the course of my life and career I’ve developed a love for – and addiction to – creativity.
That need to create has led me to branding and design projects all over the UK, Europe, US and the Middle East for more than 15 years.
Outside of design my biggest creative passion is music. You can often find me tinkering with instruments, making playlists or involuntarily drumming on tables, much to the annoyance of my wife.
I try to stay active, enjoy nature, see interesting places and eat good food, but let’s be honest, as the Dad of a young children, I mostly enjoy silence and sleep.
I live with near Birmingham with my wonderful wife Aimee and our beautiful kids Phoebe and Calvin.
