Every designer wants to work with the world’s best and brightest brands, but some of the most rewarding projects are for small local businesses – especially when the owners of that business happen to be your dear friends. Two of my favourite people, Grace and Ben, asked me to help with the visual identity of their beloved mini-empire: The Olde House Tearoom and adjoining sweet-shop Olde House Confectioners, situated in the beautiful South Staffordshire village of Kinver. We’ve worked together for several years to establish the brand, look and feel and tone of voice all within the budget and production constraints of a small family-run business.
